Search will begin for new university chief
Gervan Fearon announcing he is leaving the school to become the next President of George Brown College in Toronto starting in August.
In the interim, Provost Lynn Wells will serve as the head of the school for a period up to two years while a search for a successor is completed.
During his tenure, the university says it set new enrolment records; grew funding for research; enhanced its community partnerships; undertook capital projects including a new student residence and fitness facilities; announced it was establishing academic programming at a new Burlington campus and established a new Engineering department.
