Beginning this summer, teens in Canada can create an Uber account
Canadian teenagers will soon be able to book a ride with Uber.
Earlier today, the company announced that it will allow Canadians between 13 and 17 to make an account on the app, starting this summber.
Teen accounts will start in Western Canada and Quebec, followed by Ontario and Nova Scotia.
Officials say the change is being made to accomodate families that don't have access to reliable transit.
Currently, you need to be 18 or older to have an account, and all minors must be accompanied by an adult.
