It took less than an hour for the NRP to find a missing man safe and sound.
Around 1:16 Friday afternoon, police were called to the area of Willoughby Drive and Weinbrenner Road, in response to a missing person report.
A 78 year old man enrolled in the NRP's "Project Lifesaver" medic alert program didn't return home after going for a walk.
He was wearing his bracelet when he left, and around 1:50 p.m., officers with radio frequency based tracking systems began scouring the area.
The man was discovered safe on Weaver Road around 1:58 p.m., thanks to the use of Project Lifesaver equipment.
Anyone with further information on this case is asked to contact the NRP at 905-688-4111 ext. 1002200.
