Officials confirm over 3,000 new COVID-19 cases in the province, which is the highest daily case count since May 9th.
Ontario's daily COVID-19 case count continues to rise.
Officials are reporting 3,124 new infections, which is the highest amount logged since May 9th, when there were 3,216 new cases.
There are also five new deaths in the province.
Of today's new cases, 874 are in unvaccinated people, and 130 have an unknown immunization status.
Currently, 358 people are hospitalized with COVID-19, and 157 are in ICUs.
Thirty-three of the ICU patients are fully vaccinated.
The province has also administered just over 25 million vaccinations.
About 87.7 percent of people twelve and older have received both shots.
Individuals who are not fully vaccinated represent 23.0% of Ontario’s total population and amount to 874 of Ontario's 3,124 new reported cases. 130 cases are in individuals with an unknown vaccination status.
