Reminding residents of rule in recent tweet
The Niagara Region getting dumped on by some residents over garbage cans.
The region tweeting out a reminder a few days ago, telling residents garbage cans must have removable lids.
The tweet notes that lids with hinges attached to the can can interfere with staff’s ability to collect materials.
One local resident responding on Twitter, "Funny how the city of Toronto not only allows lids that are attached but provides them for residents. Instead here we get to constantly replace our garbage cans @$40-$50 because the garbage men lose our lids and damage our bins."
