United Way Niagara Distributes Emergency Canada Support Fund

It's over $1.2-million in federal funding to help local organizations affected by the pandemic.

United Way Niagara has selected 59 recipients for the Emergency Community Support Fund.

The YMCA of Niagara will receive $70,000 for the YMCA Adventure Club and $50,000 going to Community Support Services for the Meals on Wheels Program.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of South Niagara will receive $23,575 for virtual mentoring and Community Care of St. Catharines and Thorold will getting $40,000 for its Food Security Program.

United Way Niagara had to sort through 84 applications before distributing the funding.
