Niagara Health Awards of Excellence Recipients for 2019

The Niagara Health Awards of Excellence have been handed out.

Dr. Melanie Senechal walked away with the President's Award of Excellence Tuesday night.

She works in the emergency department in St. Catharines. Her holistic approach to care centres around  kindness, compassion and respect.

Here's a list of the other awards recipients;

Driven by Optimist Award - Sandy Harte (Wellness Nurse, Welland Site)

Achieving Ambitious Results Award - Debbie Jacques (Human Resources Analyst and Executive Assistant, Welland Site)

Extraordinary Caring Award - Rachel Robinson (Registered Nurse, Urgent Care Centre, Port Colborne Site)

Extraordinary Future through Innovation Award - Sean Robb (Neuropsychology Intern, Outpatient Mental Health Psychology, St. Catharines Site)

Extraordinary Team Award - Jae Sonke, Carol Eaton, Shauna Speck, Patty Welychka, Jennifer Pratt and Tiffany Coy (Patient Flow Team, Administration, Welland Site)

Compassion in Action Award - Trillium Unit Team (Complex Care Unit, Greater Niagara General Site)
