More than a thousand people want to save the old Town Hall building in Downtown Niagara Falls.

Council made the decision to demolish the Queen Street building at their last meeting. They set aside $260,000 in the budget to do so.

Alex Colangelo started the petition on change.org and would like 1,500 signatures before sending it to Mayor Jim Diodati and the rest of City Council.

The old Town Hall was built in 1866 and it also housed the library, courthouse and butcher shops over the years.
