A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for the Niagara Region.
There is also a chance for downpours bringing up to 50mm of rain within an hour and winds gusting up to 90km.
Wind gusts could send loose objects flying and even bring down tree branches or power lines.
The rain could cause flash floods on some roads and severely impair vision.
The Office of the Fire Marshal and Emergency Management recommends to take cover if bad weather approaches.
