Mom has been dead for 11 months and shows up at her husband’s 60th birthday party as a ghost with a mission. Like Clarence in ‘It’s a Wonderful Life, she has to accomplish a task to earn her wings. What that task is, is an actual mystery.
The set-up is based on a daughter’s therapist-ordered return to her family home on her father’s 60th birthday.
This is a comedy/drama that looks at the broken relationships that can occur in any family. It shows the judgements we make, the limits of our understanding and the depth of our commitment to each other. It takes the enforced confinement of the birthday celebration to reveal each character’s motives and eventually to lead to their
reconciliation.
There are roles for 4 women and 2 men. Auditions Nov. 6th or Nov. 8th, both at 6:30 p.m. at St. Matthew's Evangelical Lutheran Church. Use the 11th Avenue auditorium entrance and follow the signs. More cast information at www.hanovercommunityplayers.ca
