More Information (105-1 The River is not responsible for external websites)

This year, I am proud to offer our very first CWE held right here, in Niagara! This event is the cheapest in the region and every entry gets a free t-shirt with CWE logo! Although this is a celebration of women in disc golf, our club is also invluding all youth under 18 in the fun, regardless of their gender. A national ranking system will be created for all participants in these events running coast-to-coast! We also have several professional golfers attending from across Ontario and the USA.

If you have never played disc golf before, or just began throwing, a tournament might seem like an impossible or intimidating event. However, this event is more about celebrating women's accomplishment in sport, our disc golf journey and getting to meet more female disc golfers than competing. For anyone who has participated in a "fun run", "Foam" or "Mud" event, this will have a similar feel. To help facilitate youth and new comers to the sport, the second round of golf is optional for some divisions. The St. Catharines Women's Disc Golf Club is also offering free tournament prep sessions AND a free clinic with an amazing golfer from Toronto to hone our skills before the event.

Your round score(s) will be uploaded along with other participants from across the country, which may qualify you for a national award in your age category or skill level. There will be prizes and trophies awarded at the local level for all ages and skill levels, as well as an amazing players pack! The CWE players pack contains a premium plastic Latitude 64 custom stamped tournament disc, a custom G.O.A.T. towel with the event logo, a very special mini disc, stickers, a mystery Throw Pink gift, a t-shirt with CWE logo, AND additional snacks and treats. It's impossible to buy these items for the cost of entry to the event ($35).

In addition to the great players pack, we will also have CTP prizes, draws, raffles, and discs available for purchase on site from Discy Chicks. Everyone will play one round of disc golf (from either the short yellow-bricked tees or the long concrete pads) in the morning and then we will have a minimum 60-minute break for lunch (from the last card finished). Water and snacks will be available throughout the course all day. During the lunch break, special activities will be provided for you as well as opportunity to socialize with all of the participants. Following lunch, the second round will begin. For advanced divisions and sanctioned players this round is mandatory, but for beginner, novice and junior divisions it is optional. We will have draws for the prizes and raffles, and a ceremony with trophies for the winners of each division following the completion of the second round.

This event is funded by businesses in our area, the CWE Committee and PDGA Canada. Additionally, the $10 non-membership fee for non-PDGA members was waived for this event as well. We will have fun activities, washrooms, music, vendors and laughter!

Please share this event with your friends and family, and help us make history! You don't want to miss being a part of this event. The St. Catharines chapter is already has the second largest enrolled in Canada, with over a month of registration still to come! All ages and skill levels welcome. Spectators are also encouraged! Come and see what disc golf is all about.
