The water levels should be going down in Lake Ontario and Lake Erie.

But according to the Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority, the levels will still remain over the seasonal average for the rest of the summer.

As of Thursday, Lake Erie was just over 175 metres, which is 79 centimetres above average.

Lake Ontario is almost 76 metres, which is 85 centimetres above average and 3 centimetres above the record high.
