Two of the beluga whales at Marineland will be moving to Spain.
Federal Fisheries Minister Jonathon Wilkinson approved the permits. He says the Oceanographic aquarium in Valencia is better equipped to take care of them.
There's a new law that bans importing and exporting all whales, dolphins and porpoises. There is an exemption if the move is in the whales best interest.
The two belugas currently live in Niagara Falls but they are technically owned by Ocean Wise, the parent company for the Vancouver Aquarium.
