IGNITE is the Art Gallery of Welland’s premier annual fundraising event — an immersive evening where original juried artwork, live entertainment, and community come together in celebration of culture and creative capital.
Presented by Bluestone Financial, this Live and Silent Art Auction will showcase a curated collection of original works by established and emerging artists from across Niagara and beyond. Each piece has been thoughtfully selected, offering guests the opportunity to bid on meaningful, collectible artwork in both a dynamic live auction setting and an engaging silent auction experience.
A special highlight of the evening will be the presentation of the Ross Beard Lifetime Achievement Recognition, honouring an extraordinary artistic legacy and lifelong contribution to the cultural fabric of our community. This tribute reflects IGNITE’s broader purpose — celebrating those who have shaped our artistic landscape while building momentum for the future.
The evening extends far beyond an auction. Guests will enjoy:

The Art Gallery of Welland is a federally registered charitable organization, volunteer-run and independent. While we proudly serve the Welland community, we are not a municipal entity and operate separately from city-run institutions. IGNITE represents our continued effort to build a sustainable, community-supported arts centre that will elevate local talent, attract cultural tourism, and strengthen the region’s creative identity.
Proceeds from IGNITE directly support exhibition programming, artist opportunities, and the long-term vision of establishing a permanent gallery space.
