Niagara Region Public Health just recently opened a new office in Niagara Falls.

Director of Organizational and Foundational Standards Diane Vanecko says the new facility on McLeod Road is 21,500 square feet.

"We have a true reception area, which we only had a couple of chairs in our other office placed in the hallway. We have four clinic and four counselling rooms in our space as well as three exam rooms and three counselling rooms on our sexual health side as well."

They also have more rooms for meetings and classes.

Vanecko says the larger space allows them to expand the services they used to offer on Kitchener Street.

"We had a dental clinic, which we also have in the new location, and we only really had one room that we were able to do some of our counselling and support services in. Now we have many more rooms to be able to provide different programs and services running concurrently throughout the day."

You can stop by the office to learn more about the sexual health centre, dental clinic, parenting classes/breastfeeding clinic, and the mental health program. The office also accepts tick submissions and tests well water for those living with a cistern.
