Holy Cross Teacher Receives Prime Minister's Award for Teaching Excellence

A local high school teacher is being honoured for her commitment to her students and her community.

Catharine Chin Yet has received one of the Prime Minister's Awards for Teaching Excellence.

She teaches English and Photography at Holy Cross Catholic Secondary School in St. Catharines.

She successfully applied for a grant to buy digital cameras, for a photography program geared towards special education students.

She's also in charge of the annual art and photography auction for Pathstone Mental Health.
