Niagara Fights Back Against Youth Suicide Crisis

Canada is the only G-7 country without a national strategy on suicide, but here in Niagara we're fighting back.

Pathstone Mental Health now offers eight walk-in mental health clinics across the Region for people under 18.

The Hear and Now clinics run across the Region, including St. Catharines, Niagara Falls, Fort Erie and Welland.

New clinics in Niagara-on-the-Lake and Grimsby opened last week.

Suicide is the second-leading cause of death in children and people under 35.

The Canadian Council of Child and Youth Advocates is calling on Ottawa to take action and develop a national strategy.
