The FirstOntario Credit Union is making a sizable donation to Niagara Nutrition Partners and the Farm to School initiative.
They have committed $20,000 to the program, to help NNP give 180 schools access to local fruits and vegetables throughout the school year.
The NNP helps provide roughly 17,000 student meals daily.
The goal of the program is to provide kids the necessary nutrition for energy, concentration and most importantly an increased chance to succeed at school.
They are able to provide support through provincial grant programs, individuals, community and corporate donations.
