Seven people are in local hospitals with the virus.
The region has four confirmed cases of the variant that originated in the UK, with 82 more cases being investigated for variants.
There are 224 active cases and 23 active outbreaks.
St. Catharines and Niagara Falls have 45 active cases each, followed by Welland, where there are 42 active cases.
In Ontario, there are 1316 new COVID-19 cases today and 16 more deaths.
There are 428 new cases in Toronto, 244 in Peel and 149 in York Region.
