This was the result of RIDE checkpoints Sunday night
Police taking more impaired drivers off the roads of Niagara.
They set up RIDE checks Sunday night in St. Catharines and Niagara Falls, stopping roughly 150 vehicles.
19 drivers had to give a breath sample, of those three resulted in an Alert, meaning a 7-day licence suspension.
Police also handed out 8 tickets for other driving infractions, including one driver who did not have valid insurance.
Police add impaired driving remains the leading criminal offence causing death in Canada.
