It happens tomorrow morning in St. Catharines
A ceremony honouring the 24 Canadians killed in the attacks of September 11, 2001 in New York City is tomorrow morning in St. Catharines.
US Consul General Baxter Hunt will join Mayor Mat Siscoe and other dignitaries for the 10am service at Happy Rolph's Animal Farm.
The city says nine trees have been planted to extend the remembrance of those killed, alongside trees planted over 2-decades ago.
The tree species selection reflects significance to the locations of the 9/11 attacks, and to the National September 11th Memorial in New York City.
And, plaques will be placed on the new trees with the words "In memory of all who lost their lives, and in honour of the courage of survivors and responders."
