Police have arrested a man and a woman from Scarborough in relation to a shooting in St. Catharines.
Six people were shot in the downtown area on September 29th of last year.
Officers arrested 29-year-old Jamar Stephens and 26-year-old Kaitlan Miller Friday Morning.
Stephens has been charged with the following offences;
- Aggravated assault (six counts)
- Discharging a firearm with intent to wound (six counts)
- Reckless discharge of a firearm
- Pointing a firearm
- Unauthorized possession of a firearm (two counts)
- Using a firearm in commission of offence
- Possession of a prohibited firearm with ammunition readily accessible
- Possession of a prohibited device
- Possession of prohibited ammunition
- Careless storage of a prohibited firearm
- Careless storage of a prohibited device
- Careless storage of prohibited ammunition
Miller has been charged with the following offences;
- Unauthorized possession of a prohibited firearm
- Unauthorized possession of a prohibited firearm in a motor vehicle
- Possession of a prohibited firearm with ammunition readily accessible
- Possession of a prohibited device
- Possession of prohibited ammunition
- Careless storage of a prohibited firearm
- Careless storage of a prohibited device
- Careless storage of prohibited ammunition
- Obstructing police
