The mother of a Brock University student is launching a lawsuit after her son was fatally shot.
Nineteen-year-old Yosif Al-Hasnawi was killed outside a mosque in Hamilton in December 2017.
The Hamilton Spectator reports his mother has filed a more than $1.5 million dollar lawsuit.
It came the day after Dale King was found not guilty of second degree murder.
She's suing police, Hamilton paramedics, St. Joseph's Healthcare and more.
It's separate from the lawsuit that Al-Hasnawi's father filed in January of last year.
Two paramedics are also charged failing to provide the necessaries of life.
That trial starts in January.
