The Niagara Centre MP was recently elected the Chair of the Standing Committee on Transportation, Infrastructure and Communities.
The group studies legislation, programs and other national issues related to transportation and infrastructure.
It also studies the operations of Transport Canada and Infrastructure Canada.
St. Catharines MP Chris Bittle and Niagara Falls MP Tony Baldinelli also sit on the committee.
It consists of 12 members, including the Chair and Vice-Chair.
