It was another successful Barktoberfest for the Lincoln County Humane Society. The walkathon in Burgoyne Woods raised about $8,000 on Sunday October 6th.
Executive Director Kevin Strooband says all of that money will be put to good use.
"Most of the funds will be used to care for dogs where we couldn't otherwise afford to care for them. It might be surgery or something extra they need to make their lives a little more enjoyable at the shelter."
Strooband says about 40 people participated in the walk, but about 300 to 400 people stopped by the fundraiser throughout the day.
You can still donate to the cause online here before October 27th.
