Body discovered near Port Burwell Provincial Park
The body of a St. Catharines man swimming in Lake Erie in Port Burwell has been found.
Early Saturday afternoon, crews responded to a report of a missing swimmer and three near drownings near Port Burwell Provincial Park.
Investigators say two people were swimming in the lake when they started to experience distress.
A pair of Good Samaritans hopped in to help them when they also began experiencing difficulties.
A bystanders threw a life saving ring into the water, and managed to pull three of the four people out.
The victim's body was discovered yesterday just before noon about 13 kilometres east of the park.
The deceased has been identified as 25 year old Daniel Sosa-Zerebecka.
