The leaders of Canada's political parties spoke about reconciliation during another busy day on the campaign trail.
NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh was in Saskatchewan today and met with leaders from the Cowessess First Nation, which announced the finding of 751 unmarked graves at a former residential school in June.
Singh visited the site of the graves and held a private meeting with group leaders and community members.
Liberal Leader Justin Trudeau, who was in Winnipeg today, also spoke on the issue of reconciliation.
He noted that Justice Minister David Lametti is working with Indigenous stakeholders to seek accountability for the tragedies that took place within Canada's residential school system.
Meanwhile, Conservative Leader Erin O'Toole, who was also in Winnipeg today, says Trudeau hasn't delivered on promises relating to reconciliation efforts.
He says if elected, his government will team up with Indigenous leaders to restore trust in the government.
