It's been another busy day on the campaign trail.
Liberal Leader Justin Trudeau was in Surrey, B.C. earlier today, where he pledged to increase the corporate tax rate for the country's largest banks and insurance companies.
He said raising the rate from 15 percent to 18 percent on all earnings over $1 billion will allow for the creation of a "Canada Recovery Dividend" that will help people recover from financial hardships brought on by the pandemic.
Conservative Leader Erin O'Toole spoke about mental health today in Brantford, Ontario, promising $1 billion over five years for Indigenous mental health and drug treatment services.
He also told supporters that a Conservative government would transfer enough funds to each province for an extra one million Canadians to receive mental health treatment each year.
Meanwhile, NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh was in Windsor today, where he vowed to decrease cell phone and internet bills for Canadians.
Singh said he would work with the CRTC to force large telecommunications companies to reduce prices for internet and cell phone service, saving about $1,000 for the average family.
