Niagara board accepting report from independent investigator that Natalia Benoit violated terms of Code of Conduct
A Niagara Catholic District School board trustee will not be allowed to go to any board and committee meetings until the end of June.
The majority of trustees voted yesterday to accept an independent investigator's report, written by Parker Sim LLP, that Natalia Benoit violated terms of the board's Trustee Code of Conduct.
The report came from a complaint filed by Trustee Paul Turner, in relation to Trustee Benoit's actions outside the May 23rd board meeting at the Catholic Education Centre.
A video posted to social media shows her comparing the Pride flag to the Nazi flag.
The suspension means she will not receive correspondence from the board, but she will continue to be paid.
She has 14 days to appeal.
She was at yesterday's meeting virtually, but did not say anything.
