Start Me Up Niagara's old van becoming costly to fix
A brand new van has been purchased for Start Me Up Niagara.
On Friday, St. Catharines NDP MPP Jennie Stevens met with the group, marking the $76,700 grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation, that enabled the buy.
The new van replaces the old, aging van that was becoming more costly to maintain, and with it, the group will keep delivering food, donations, bikes, and more to people in poverty, don't have a place to live, and mental health challenges.
The group adds as the demand for services keeps growing, dependable transportation is key.
