Residents will have to pay $3.00 per hour or buy a $15 digital season pass for Lakeside Park or Sunset Beach
The City of St. Catharines has voted to keep beach parking fees in place at Lakeside Park and Sunset Beach.
Last night, council decided to keep hourly parking fees of $3 at the two beaches.
Residents will be allowed to buy two digital season parking passes per household at $15 each.
Applications for parking passes will open up next month.
Mayor Mat Siscoe voted against the motion, saying the fees were only brought in to control crowds during the pandemic, and are no longer needed.
City council also greenlit a bike repair station for Sunset Beach.
