Lawsuit seeking $400 for Rogers, Fido and Chatr customers, following last week's outage.
A Quebec man has launched a class action lawsuit against Rogers following last week's massive outage.
The lawsuit, which was filed by the firm LPC Avocat Inc., says the company was negligent and "paralyzed" Canada for the whole day.
The outage caused many disruptions, not just for mobile, internet and cable users, but also impacting debit payment systems and people's ability to call 911.
The suit is seeking $400 for Rogers customers for the network failure on July 8th and 9th, as well as compensation for customers of Fido and Chatr, both of which are owned by Rogers.
The class-action suit has not yet been authorized by a judge.
