City of St. Catharines adds that includes the addition of a 4th court
Significant upgrades to the tennis courts at Community Park in Merritton.
City of St. Catharines says a partnership between it and the re-established St. Catharines tennis club means the three existing courts at the park are upgraded, along with a 4th court being added.
The city credits the club with contributing $40,000 to get it done.
Tennis players will note the lighting and fencing is replaced, and hard surface added.
The city adds temporary lines have been painted, with permanent to be painted on May 20th, depending on the weather.
The work falls under the City's Parks Renewal Plan, with consultation from Merritton Lions Club.
