NRP say investigation began back in December of 2024
Two people are facing charges following a drug bust in Niagara Falls.
In December, Niagara Regional Police were contacted by a local business about the discovery of controlled substances hidden in the ceiling tiles of their bathroom.
NRP attended the business and discovered $100-thousand worth of fentanyl and $220 dollars worth of hydromorphone pills.
Investigation by the Street Crime Unit later identified the owner of the controlled substance and led to the arrest of two suspects on Thursday.
22 year old Obeida Samara of Thorold is facing a slew of charges including possession of controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking as well as possession of proceeds of a crime.
Police also seized another quantity of fentanyl, cocaine, crystal meth and more pills.
He's being held in custody for a bail hearing today.
A second suspect was also arrested as a result of the investigation.
64 year old Hiyam Samara of Thorold was arrested and faces possession and trafficking charges, as well as having proceeds of a crime.
He's also being held for bail hearing today.
NRP are asking anyone with information in the case to contact them.
