A second individual at Quaker Road Public School has tested positive for COVID-19.
Students and staff who had close contact with the individual have been contacted by Niagara Region Public Health and told to stay home and self-isolate.
A thorough cleaning of the school will be completed.
Additionally, a Public Health Inspector and a Public Health Nurse from NRPH have visited the school to conduct a comprehensive assessment.
The school will continue to follow COVID-19 safety protocols it has in place, including physical distancing, wearing PPE, hand hygiene and daily health screening.
It is not known if the individual in question is a student or staff member.
