The District School Board of Niagara is stepping up it's cleaning and sanitation efforts in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The board has hired extra cleaning staff.
They're sanitizing handrails, door handles and other high use touchpoints more often.
They're also cleaning computer equipment, musical instruments and toys twice a day.
The hand soaps, hand sanitizers and paper products will be replenished regularly.
Niagara Student Transportation Services will step up school bus cleaning efforts; sanitizing the handrails, seat backs and seat tops daily.
The DSBN has also decided to cancel all international field trips for next week.
It would like families to do their research before planning their own March Break getaway, and look up any health-related advisories in advance.
