UPDATE: A 32-year-old man remains in critical condition in hospital after a head on crash in Niagara-on-the-Lake.
Police say he lost control of his car on Niagara Stone Road yesterday afternoon and crashed into another car which was heading the opposite direction.
The other driver, a 60-year-old woman, died at the scene and her identity has not been released.
Both of the drivers live in Niagara-on-the-Lake.
Anyone who may have witnessed this crash should contact the NRP.
A serious crash in Niagara-on-the-Lake has claimed a life.
Police say two vehicles crashed head on at Niagara Stone Road and Eastchester yesterday afternoon.
One driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
The second driver was taken to hospital in critical condition and then airlifted to another hospital outside the Region.
Roads were closed in the area for a police investigation.
More information will be released by police after the families involved are notified.
