A collision between a 2008 Dodge Caliber and a 2016 Honda Civic left one dead and another with life-threatening injuries.
It happened Friday around 6:30 p.m. in the area of Moyer Road and Grassy Brook Road in Welland.
A 17-year-old boy was pronounced dead at the scene and another 17-year-old boy who was in the passenger seat was airlifted to an out-of-town hospital.
Two other passengers in the vehicle were taken to hospital with minor injuries.
The driver of the Civic was not hurt.
Detectives are continuing to investigate the collision and no charges have been laid yet.
