The federal government is investing $500 million to help the tourism sector.
Eligible organizations can submit applications for funding to the Tourism Relief Fund.
About $485 million of the investment will go directly to businesses and organizations, and the rest will be used to support destination development, local attractions and human resources and skills development.
Melanie Joly, Minister of Economic Development and Official Languages, made the announcement today.
"This is an important step in our recovery efforts to attract visitors from all over the world so they can discover our country’s extraordinary wild natural beauty, delicious food and rich cultural experiences and incredibly warm hospitality once it is safe to do so."
