The Ford Government recently announced $17-billion in funding to combat COVID-19 in Niagara and beyond.
Premier Doug Ford says this funding is necessary during this time of crisis.
“I will spare no expense, no expense at all to make sure we take care of the people’s health and the economy of this province.”
He says Ontario's action plan includes $3.3-billion for health care support and $953-million for the hospital sector.
“This includes $594-million to address capacity issues and $341-million for 1,00 additional acute care beds and 500 critical care beds.”
The package also sets aside $1-billion for a COVID-19 contingency fund.
