Robert Carpenter takes home $250,000 after buying 2 scratch tickets
Fort Erie is home to the latest lottery winner in Niagara.
The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation says Robert Carpenter is taking home a $250,000 prize from Instant Crossword Deluxe.
He works in transportation, and has been playing Lotto Max and Lotto 649 for about 30 years, playing the odd Instant ticket.
He was paying for gas at the Canadian Tire on Garrison Road in Fort Erie, when he got two tickets, went to a nearby restaurant to scratch them, and realized the win.
He says he plans to build a garage, help his kids, and invest for retirement.
