A very impressive win for a Fort Erie pharmacy.... it just won the Bobby Lau Pharmacy of the Year award, at the national WholeHealth pharmacy conference in Huntsville.
WholeHealth Pharmacy Fort Eire Co-owner Harsit Patel says they beat 320 other pharmacies.
Co-owner Kirk Wong adds they have many services. "It's a travel pilot, that we started with head office. We partner with a doctor who will consult with patients who are travelling to various parts of the world, and will do an assessment on medication needs."
He adds they don't just focus on getting medication out the door.
But, he also recalls sending a little boy to hospital when his mother didn't know what was wrong. "Where Macklin was diagnosed with lymphoma. He was treated there, and since March of 2023, he's been in remission."
Patel says he was truly speechless after winning the award.
