It's official, the Town of Fort Erie now owns the EJ Freeland Community Centre.
The Boys and Girls Club will be moving in April 1st.
Mayor Wayne Redekop says this means locals will be able to have continued access to recreational, health and wellness programs.
The YMCA of Niagara announced about a year ago, that it could no longer afford to continue it's member operations in the Garrison Road building.
It decided to sell EJ Freeland and it's equipment to the Town for $1.
The YMCA ceased all operations as of February 21st, 2020.
