The Town of Fort Erie will receive $112,500 from the province for a Corporate Systems Software review.
The grant funding is coming from the Municipal Modernization Program.
Town staff sent an application to the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing back in December.
Manager of Digital Services Kelly Davis says they're planning a major overhaul of their financial and asset management software.
"The systems review project will provide us with an overview of the best way to utilize technology in order to execute routine activities more efficiently and in a way that meets the evolving needs of our Town."
The Town will undergo a Request for Proposal process over the next couple of months, to find an independent third-party reviewer.
The chosen applicant will deliver a final report by September.
