E.coli, algae detected at area beaches
Niagara Region Public Health has flagged four local beaches as unsafe for swimmers.
Public Health says algae has been found at Waverly Beach in Fort Erie.
Meanwhile, E.coli has been detected at Lakeside Beach in St. Catharines, Sunset Beach in St. Catharines and Reebs Bay in Wainfleet.
Throughout the summer, Public Health tests the water at local beaches to make sure it's safe for swimmers.
