MPPs will return to the legislature on September 25th this year
A local MPP says Queen's Park shouldn't be closed until the end of September.
Last week, the latest session of provincial parliament ended, and MPPs will be back on September 25th.
Niagara Falls MPP Wayne Gates says this is unacceptable.
"We have an affordability crisis. We have a healthcare crisis. We need to hold this government accountable. And how do you do that? You sit in the legislature. You ask questions, so we can hold him accountable."
Normally, MPPs return after the Labour Day weekend.
Officials say this year's return is being delayed by a few weeks due to by-elections in Kitchener, Ottawa and Scarborough.
