Local MPP Wayne Gates say Fort Erie's Urgent Care Centre needs to re-open immediately.
As the province begins easing COVID-19 restrictions next week, Niagara Falls MPP Wayne Gates is pushing the Ford government and Niagara Health to work together to re-open the Urgent Care Centre in Fort Erie.
"We’ve had numerous awful snowfalls already that have made getting to open urgent care clinics even worse," Gates says. "It is ludicrous that tens of thousands of people continue to go without their urgent care centre."
Niagara Health shut down the urgent care centre earlier this month due to staffing shortages.
Gates has also requested Ford ask the Armed Forces for support personnel to help re-open the site.
