The Niagara Region has hired a new Director of Economic Development.
George Spezza will step into the role on Monday November 30th and he's bringing more than 20 years of experience to the table.
He used to be a Senior Advisor for Business and Strategic Relations for Crosslinx Transit Solutions, more specifically the Eglington Crosstown LRT expansion project.
Spezza also used to work in the City of Toronto's Economic Development and Culture office as the Director of Business Growth Services.
He's now going to lead Niagara's Economic Development team to help attract investment to the Region.
