GNCC President pens letter to Justin Trudeau
The Greater Niagara Chamber of Commerce is the latest business group to ask the Prime Minister to drop the restrictions at the border in order to give tourism a much needed boost after two years of the pandemic
GNCC President Mishka Balsom penning a letter to Justin Trudeau asking that he lift the remaining restrictions as cases of the virus decline across the country.
Balsom noting "the ArriveCAN app is particularly burdensome and causes significant delays at crossings. Unfamiliarity with the app and the technology lead to confusion among travellers andslowdowns at the border."
In the letter, she adds "we suggest that the difficulties which ArriveCAN creates at border crossings are not worth the limited public health benefits it offers."
Instead she is calling for the development of a universal vaccine passport system so every country has the same international standards for travel.
