The $253,000 donation is to help renovate St. Catharines house
A Grimsby couple is doing what they can to make sure another family has a home.
Habitat for Humanity Niagara says Barry and Linda Coutts just gave a donation of $253,000 to help renovate an abondoned house on Junkin Street in St. Catharines.
The city took over the three bedroom, two bathroom house through a failed tax sale, and then sold it to Habitat for Humanity.
Linda Coutts says what Habitat for Humanity does is empowers people to improve their lives, with a home that brings stability.
Barry Coutts says the housing crisis inspired them, to try something that'll help a family find a home.
They also hope their donation inspires others to support Habitat for Humanity.
